This Gibson ES-165 comes from the year 1991, which makes it a first-year edition of this model. It is finished in Gibson's iconic Cherry colorway. The ES-165 is also known as Herb Ellis's signature model guitar, however they would not start having his name on the guitar until late 1991. With its one 490R pickup in the neck position, and its hollow body design, this guitar is a very popular choice for jazz and blues musicians.
This guitar is in very good condition with some light scratches on the top of the headstock and some finish checking on the back of the body.
