This Gibson Les Paul Custom originates from the later period of the Norlin Era in 1979, a time that significantly influenced the design, production, and reputation of Gibson guitars. Historically, the "Custom" designation positioned this guitar as a flagship model in the Gibson lineup. Equipped with a modified bridge and neck pickup featuring a Bareknuckle Holy Diver in the bridge and a Burstbucker humbucker at the neck, this guitar offers a versatile and punchy voicing suitable for a wide range of genres. The inclusion of dip switches near the volume and tone controls provides additional control over the guitar's tone. The switch closest to the bridge pickup is currently bypassed, while the switch for the neck pickup is operational. When positioned up or down, this switch splits the humbucker into a single coil. An aftermarket hardshell case is included, and the electronics have been upgraded for enhanced performance. Additionally, Schaller strap locks have been installed for added convenience and security.

This 1979 Gibson Les Paul custom is in very good condition. There is moderate playwear through the body and some of the ebony finish has been worn off the neck of this guitar. There is also a small ding to the back of the neck.
